Lamborghini, the Italian automobile manufacturer is taking the first step towards the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The new project, dubbed the Space Key - is a piece of art made by a collaboration with an unidentified artist. The unique NFT is a tangible item that links to exclusive digital artwork that can be accessed via an QR code printed on the back. The project is a limited edition and will be auctioned off within the coming weeks.

The Space Key is made from carbon fiber composite materials which Lamborghini shipped to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of research project. The carbon fiber was then crafted into a unique artwork after it returned to Earth. The physical component has an NFT serial code that ties to the digital artwork through a QR code on the rear.

NFTs for those who aren't familiar they are unique identifiers that are stored on an open ledger on the blockchain and linked to a digital asset such as a photograph, video, song or any other type of record. This allows owners to ensure authenticity and the scarcity of tokens via the internet.

lamborghini revuelto key  is taking this unique approach to art to a new level by working with NFT PRO - an white label NFT solution for businesses. In the coming weeks, Lamborghini will share details about this exciting venture. This includes the name of the artists who are unknown and a timetable for auction.

The physical element of the Space Key

Following multiple social media posts that tease something space-themed, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini has stepped into the realm of tokens that are not fungible (NFT) with an exclusive project called Space Key. The NFT was developed in collaboration with a mysterious artist and will go on auction in a few short weeks. The NFT is a piece made of carbon fiber composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2019 as part a research project. Carbon fiber was 3D printed for the base of each Space Key. Each Space Key is linked to an exclusive, digital image via QR codes. Only five Space Keys were produced.

NFTs are unique identifiers that are recorded on distributed ledgers such as the Blockchain and tied to digital assets like pictures. It's a hot topic among people who have more money than they have common sense. It was only an issue of time before automakers decided to cash in.

Space Key consists of five units. The components were built with a physical part of the carbon fiber composite that was sent to the ISS in the year 2019. Each NFT will be equipped with an QR code that will link it to a special digital art work by the same artist. More details will be released in the coming days and weeks, including the name of the artist who created the digital art work and how to purchase one of the five Space Keys.

The digital artwork

After weeks of social-media posts that hinted at it, luxury car maker Lamborghini finally announced its first venture for non-fungible tokens (NFT). Called the Space Key, it consists of five items that unlock a unique digital art work NFT by an artist yet to be identified. The  collectors' piece was created in collaboration with NFTPRO(tm) and is limited to just five units. It will be auctioned shortly.

Each Space Key contains a block composed of a carbon-fire composite material. It was sent to the International Space Station as part of a 2019 research project. After returning to Earth, it was engraved with the QR code which links it to the digital element of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys will feature a separate moment that occurs a few seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. Each of the five images was captured by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.

Oefner utilized an inflatable camera equipped with a lens to capture individual images, which were later combined into the final photo. The result is a photograph that is out of this world. It captures the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic look of a car rising away from the Earth. The Space Keys will be auctioned off soon, but the exact date and time of the event hasn't been announced yet.
